D'Ann McNeill And Monica Zuniga To Perform In England
D'Ann McNeill and Monica Zuniga were chosen by the Universal Dance Association to perform in the Lord Mayor of Westminster's New Year's Parade in London. They depart December 26 for a seven day tour with UDA Dance Stars and Cheerleader All Stars after being selected at the UDA summer camp in Kingsville, Texas. Both hold leadership roles on the Floresville High School Tigerette Dance Team and are active in student council and drama.

The Floresville High School Faculty Slammers will battle local DPS Troopers in the high school gym on Friday December 20 at 2 45 p m. Admission is a non perishable food item or a child’s toy with proceeds donated to the local food pantry. KRIO radio will provide play by play.

Fire damages Floresville eatery from hot plate blaze
Floresville firefighters responded to 1022 7th Street on Monday December 16 1991 after smoke was seen at David's Eatery opened that morning and closed about 220 pm. Investigators blamed a hot plate igniting nearby paper causing room and ceiling damage. Front window cracked and plastic fixtures melted. Two engines arrived but little water used. Damage estimated 5000 to 7000 dollars. Building owner listed as Earl McKenzie Floresville.
