A nationwide farmers strike movement formed in a Springfield Colorado coffee shop escalated to 240 strike offices and about 800000 participants across all fifty states. Demands include 100% parity for domestic and foreign agricultural products, 100% parity for national and international food reserves, and a farm marketing structure. Kelly Construction Company of San Antonio has begun a five mile extension of F M 775 from U S 87 in La Vernia southwest to Sulphur Springs Road. The two lane 20 foot wide Farm to Market road will include curbing and sidewalks in La Vernia. The project aims to provide safe all weather access for residents travelers rural mail carriers school buses and emergency vehicles.
