College Station Texas December 42 Cotton farmers across Texas and the South backed cotton marketing quotas with 164 428 in favor and 29 853 against after December 9 returns. Work has begun at the intersection of Highways 97 and 27 near the Cibolo bridge as the NYA leads park construction with countywide scope. The Wilson County Commissioners Court contributed 500 dollars toward road work and appeals go out for local donations from Floresville merchants and other residents to fund materials now.

Gras Named Census Head for 14th District in Texas
Joe Gras of Yorktown was appointed supervisor of the census for Texas 14th Congressional District. Assistant supervisor will be Mrs. John Cochran of Linton Gras plans to open the district office in Corpus Christi where census work will begin later this month. Si Sample 67 longtime Stockdale resident and father of Mrs. George Boothe sheriff of Wilson County died after being shot three times in front of the Wilson County jail Sunday noon. Deputy Sheriff Fuller surrendered to DeWitt Houck after telephoning Sheriff Harper Morris of Karnes County. State Police, Capt. Hill Foreman and Sgt. W. S.
