Camino Real Health Systems Agency Names 30‑Member Board
The 30 member board of Camino Real Health Systems Agency was appointed by the Alamo Area Council of Governments and Middle Rio Grande Development Council. The board will develop health plans, allocate funds for projects, and approve federal funding applications for health programs in 21 counties. Sam Nixon M D of Rural Physicians of Wilson County is among the appointees. Two public hearings are set for December 17 at 7:00 p.m. in the Kennedy Room Del Rio Civic Center and December 18 at 5:30 p.m. at Model Cities Evaluation Center San Antonio.

Shooting Sends Two To Hospital In Floresville
A downtown Floresville shooting late Saturday or Sunday morning sent Julian Ruiz and Jimmy Castillo to Floresville Memorial Hospital and then air lifted to San Antonio. As of press time one victim, Julian Ruiz, was in serious condition. Two suspects were arrested and charged. Agencies including the Highway Patrol City Police and Wilson County Sheriff’s Dept. coordinated the investigation.
