Victory Band Concert Promotes Great Patriotic Rally
Victory High School plans a patriotic rally and Christmas concert next Thursday night December 17. The program, directed by Fritz Teltschik and Miss Geraldine Lane, aims to attract 1,000 attendees and boost War Bond and War Stamp sales with no admission charge, encouraging each person to purchase at least a 10 cent stamp or a War Bond. The November event drew about 250 attendees and raised 5700.00 in Bonds plus 87.00 in War Stamps.

Boy Scouts Enthused Over Victory Garden
Boy Scout Troop 114 met December 7 1942 at the Vocational Agriculture building. Penalty fees were set for tardiness and absence. Twenty two boys attended. The Lion Patrol worked late in the Victory Garden with one section planted and small plants emerging. The group will soon reap the harvest of their efforts. Reporter.

District Court Proceedings Over Two Weeks End
Over the past two weeks in district court John Moore won a 42000 judgment against C E Dilworth after a Thursday verdict. Beulah Henson Dies in Floresville Pioneer Remembered
Mrs. Beulah Elizabeth Moseley Henson widow of Judge J F Henson died at her Floresville home on December 6 1942 after a several weeks illness and a recent stroke. Services were held at 3 30 pm Monday with Rev J W Black officiating and a choir singing. She is buried beside her husband in Floresville cemetery. Born November 7 1868 in Wilson County she devoted her life to the county and its people and helped shape its early development.

Floresville moves to issue bonds for San Antonio Public Service assets
The Floresville City Council intends to issue electric light revenue bonds not exceeding 350000 to acquire title to San Antonio Public Service Company properties in Wilson County. The bonds are secured by electric revenues and not subject to property taxes. If default occurs, bondholders may take over the system but cannot force Floresville to levy taxes. The plan anticipates sharing net profits with Stockdale and Poth and reimbursing taxes to districts, with a five member Board of Trustees governing the system.
