Wilson County AAA Committees Elect For Ensuing Year
AAA delegates elected by their neighbors on November 19 the AAA office Nov 26 to County Committee to serve since the work in connection with the 1944 food production program gains in December the election of community committeemen and the county committee was held one month of this year. All AAA County and community committeemen will serve from December 1, 1943, to December 1, 1944. Those elected to serve on the County AAA Committee are A. D. Richardson, chairman, L. E. Matthew F. Allison, 65, brother of Mrs. J. W. Black of this city, died Friday night at his Wilmington Delaware home after a period of ill health from heart trouble. The body was brought to San Saba Texas for burial alongside family. Reverend and Mrs. Antonio attended.

Wilson County surpassed its quota in the United War Chest drive. Chairman J C Merchant and Treasurer L H Mitchell report a total of 3919 04 raised against a 3500 00 goal. Attendees included U A teachers from Old Helena District and district leaders from several towns. guests included state agriculture and FPWT officials from Austin and local school and homemaking staff. A fine meal was served at 6 30 by Miss Emily Goehring. Reporter notes the honor of hosting prominent agriculture leaders for the afternoon and evening.

Beginning December 13, housewives will earn one brown ration point for each half pound of salvage kitchen fats taken to a retailer under the Points-For-Fats program announced by district OPA food rationing officer W. C. Marshall. They will also retain the four cent per pound ceiling price for used fats. The program aims to spur fat collection for glycerine and sulfa drugs. only households and small boarding houses under 50 residents may exchange fats for points.
