Wilson county loses pioneer John P Lorenz at his Stockdale home on November 29 1960 aged 87 with 81 years in the county. Funeral held December 1 at the family residence with Rev John Elswick Glen Leigh J R Kidwell and Kenneth Wellman officiating. Interment at Pleasant Valley Cemetery near Stockdale with family and friends paying tribute to a long Christian life and upright public service.

The State of Texas versus John J Morin for theft over fifty dollars and burglary, indicted by a Wilson county grand jury after his arrest. Morin escaped in February 1956 and was recaptured after a summer arrest in California. Special Judge Joe Frazier Brown of Bexar County will preside due to disqualification of Judge John F May.

Mrs. Hill Injured In Floresville Car Crash
Mrs. G. A. Hill of Floresville was hospitalized in Memorial City after a Sunday noon collision at A and Third Streets. She was thrown from her Mercury, suffered ten broken ribs a broken collarbone and shoulder bone plus multiple bruises and lacerations. Alejo Gonzales drove the other car, headed north on Third Street. An ambulance transported her for treatment.
