A widespread, soaking rain fell in Wilson County and across much of southwest Texas on Tuesday, with some areas receiving more than others. The steady precipitation lifted ground conditions, aiding fall plowing as farmers and businessmen celebrate the favorable weather and its potential value to the region.
Logan Notsan of the Koseciaske community lies at Powell hospital in very serious condition after a cutting affray in the Notsan home yard last Saturday. He was stabbed in the side with liver injury and band wounds, operated on Monday night, condition critical. Jeff Sells, neighbor, was arrested and later released on bond. Cause of the trouble is unknown.
The Floresville Path and Fairview exchanges will publish a new telephone directory printed by the Omicronudeo Journal in a few days. It will be in use for at least one year and offers advertising space. Contact the Chronicle Journal about booking space. representatives will visit in May.
