Stephenson's home in Corpus Christi Texas after a lingering illness. The body was brought to Floresville and cared for by Murray Funeral Home. Rev. Roy G. Rader and Rev. J. W. Black led the rites. Stephenson born in the city was the son of W. C. Stephenson and Martyn Pickett Stephenson, educated locally and at Texas A&M College.

Tankersley son wounded in action in North Africa reported improving
Rev and Mrs E E Tankersley of Floresville report their son Sgt Wendell Tankersley in the U S Air Forces in North Africa was seriously wounded in action on September and is now improving in a hospital there. Cattle Grub Control Demonstration Draws 75 Farmers
The Dewees ranch event drew about 75 farmers and 4-H club youths to a cattle grub control demonstration led by County Agent W O McCoy. Funeral services for L Morgan Williams district attorney for the 81st judicial district of Texas will be held at Hurley Funeral Home Pleasanton at 2 30 this afternoon Friday. He died at his home in Jourdanton at 4 o clock Thursday morning after months of illness. Burial follows in Shiloh Cemetery near Leming. Williams spent most of his life in Atascosa county and became district attorney in 1931 after succeeding Judge C S Slatton.
