A rejected passage notes 132000 deaths from the disease in the United States last year and 1000000 active cases, urging continued tuberculosis effort into 1922. It emphasizes that while progress has been made, much more must be done to curb the illness nationwide.
The social season’s highlight was a 4:30 ceremony with Miss Lucile Dietz singing. She was accompanied by Miss Marjorie Dietz at the piano as the bride and groom entered to Lohengrin’s wedding march by Miss Ollie Woolsey. The bride wore a midnight blue tailored suit of velour. After the ceremony the couple left for a honeymoon to Galveston and Houston, planning to reside in Karnes City upon return.
Last Friday evening Nov ae T Donaho arranged a splendid program for the citizens and students of the community. County Judge J E Canfield delivered the feature address, praised for its clarity. A special musical program by Floresville girls delighted attendees. A box supper followed, raising a neat sum for the school.
On Saturday December 17 the Rogge and Goesch Houston Lichnovsky firm will stop ginning for the season due to low cotton intake. No ginning will occur until that date.

Managers anticipate surpassing this total in coming weeks.
Rosalia Bednarz, born Rosalia Blaske, died at her home in Poth Texas on Friday aged about 78. She immigrated from Germany at fifteen with her mother and lived in Schulenburg Buckholts and Poth across 31 5 years. She married Ferdinand Bednarz in 1871 and had 12 children. The family thanks friends and asks sympathy for the bereaved.
