The Poth Jr High cheerleaders for 1983 84 attended the NCA Cheerleading Camp in Seguin from August 24 to 28. They earned red, white and two blue ribbons and plan to lead the season. Assistant Cheryl Lyssy also attended the camp.

State Comptroller Sends $103 Million in Local Sales Taxes

Texas Comptroller Bob Bullock distributed 103 million in local sales tax payments to 974 cities. Austin received 3.9 million, raising its 1983 total to 19 million. Fort Worth got 3.5 million, moving ahead of target. Payments included transit and other local allocations across counties.
