Robert James Estrada, 34, faces three counts of indecency with a child. He turned himself in to Floresville police on August 8 and posted a $100,000 bond, with each charge at $50,000. Estrada appeared before Judge Emilio Flores for bond setting and a third arrest warrant was issued. His wife Cynthia Estrada was arrested on retaliation charges for allegedly threatening a witness and also bonded out.
Flo resville city council discussed using a bond to fund a broad street and drainage repair program financed by a quarter cent sales tax and potential grants. They may lease a paving machine, realign park crews, and start drainage work on F Street with engineers and bond counsel to determine next steps.
Community leaders pursue a combined Floresville high school and junior college tech center plan aimed at 2010. The proposal would reuse district buildings for student classes and community college courses with Alamo CC providing certified teachers. The effort seeks joint usage by the school district city county and local development groups.
