Leopoldo Valdez, a Pullman Company employee and Bexar County recruit, is reported missing in action. Relatives live in Saspamco. his entry into the U S Army occurred last November through the Bexar County local board. He is the first from the county to be listed as missing in action.

Two Stockdale Boys Wounded in War Front Signal
Stockdale Tex Aug 21 word has reached here that two Stockdale men Lieutenants Elmore Hardin and Minter Womack have been wounded slightly on the western front. Lieut Hardin is the son of T Y Hardin a leading citizen of Stockdale and was in business at his home town before enlisting. Lieut Womack was principal of Stockdale High School for two years both are well known in Floresville and vicinity.

Troop I Enjoys Range Drill and Runge Dinner
On August 10 Troop I held a vote to drill and barbecue at Range next Saturday. They marched from Runge to Runge Lumber Company yard where Runge residents served barbecue salads coffee and treats. The welcome was generous and the day is remembered fondly by the boys and their hosts.
