Farewell to Wesley Irvin a Pioneer of Texas
The obituary honors Wesley Irvin born August 18 1845 in what is now Madison County and died June 16 1913 in San Antonio after weeks of hospital care. The rugged Union Valley pioneer left a stock ranch near Brazos and a wide circle of political friends and foes. Survived by widow Elizabeth and children including O E Irvin E E Irvin Terrill Irvin, siblings, and numerous relatives. Funeral held at Pandora Methodist Church with Rev J A King officiating and burial near the old family ranch amid large turnout.
