John W Wiseman Honored On 90th Birthday in Floresville
John W. Wiseman a Wilson county pioneer and Floresville figure was honored on his 90th birthday Tuesday August 15 1961 with open houses at the Floresville Methodist Church recreation room. About 60 friends attended as Rev C O Boatman presided and lauded his long life of service with tributes from Sam Fore Jr and others. A pale green frosted 90 candles cake was the centerpiece with a money tree gift. Wiseman born August 15 1871 in La Vernia and long involved in local industry and church life, lives with wife Jennie B Everts Wiseman in Floresville and has a son John Everts Wiseman of New York City.
