Floresville Chamber of Commerce re elected all old officers for the year ending May 1934 at a board meeting. E. Woolsey Jr., named president. Hal V. Warren and R. L. Eischenburg vice presidents. E. D. Beck secretary. Hol. Franklin treasurer. A member drive begins Sept 12 to 26 with $1 dues through May 1934. Rev Theo Winter mourns death of father in Iowa. funeral held Saturday.

J E McDonald Texas agriculture commissioner leads Texas farmers to Washington to push a federal code setting a 26 cent per pound minimum for cotton. The group calls for immediate stabilization of the cotton market and invites agricultural commissioners and Southern cotton farmers to join in urging action. A resolution warns the declining market would harm the South unless curb is set, proposing 16 cents as a household support price if needed.
The notice fixes the plow-up deadline for contracted cotton on Wednesday August 23 and urges farmers to notify their committeeman of the action.
Kosciusko community gathered at St Ann's School grounds last Sunday for the annual barbecue and picnic.
