The Floresville Peanut Festival will host a two day real rodeo on September 5 and 6 with two performances daily at 2 PM. Local figures Tomker Merrill Connally Richard Bolf Wayne Connally Frank Bolf Jr Norris Donaho head the festival committee. Robert Mills promotes the show and Troy Howard of Cotulla provides bucking stock. Top ropers and riders from Southwest Texas are expected to compete for attractive cash prizes. Connally suffers deep wrist cut near Floresville
J. B. Connally, a rancher west of Floresville, cut his right wrist with a turning plow while adjusting points. The gash extended several inches and he drove his truck with one arm to reach his sons before medical help arrived. He is responding nicely.
