Benedict Korzekwa Named to Wilson County FHA Committee
Benedict Korzekwa of the Kosciusko Community is appointed as a member of Wilson County Farmers Home Administration three member committee. He succeeds Aaron Sells, with Alfred W. Raska and Leroy H. Kirchoff as the other two members. The committee reviews loan applications for agricultural housing recreation water and economic opportunity loans in Wilson County. In the year ending June 30 1966 FHA loans totaled 420980 with collections of 458241. Korzekwa a lifelong Wilson County resident is a livestock farmer and ALCS Community Committeeman.

Stocker Feeder Show and Sale Set for August 18
The August special Stocker Feeder Show and Sale will be at Union Stock Yards in San Antonio on Thursday August 18. Fords Angus and Bradman Cross cattle will be shown for awards though any cattle class can enter. Judging starts at 7:30 a.m. with the regular cattle auction at 9:00 a.m. and prize winners sold at 11:00 a.m. The event serves cattlemen as a special service alongside standard weekly sales and auctions on other days.

United Gas Corporation announced its board accepted a purchase proposal from a new corporation to acquire its Gulf South distribution properties. The sale, valued at 140 million dollars, preserves the United Gas name and rates with minimal staff disruption.
