Floresville Combat Veteran Joins Hobbs Field Unit
Chief Warrant Joseph C. Laza of Floresville arrives at Hobbs Army Air Field New Mexico. He served as chief bombardier in the Southwest Pacific theater, including the Philippines and Java, and spent 25 years in the Army before Pearl Harbor. He helped reorganize bombardment groups in Australia and later joined the Air Service Command. At Hobbs he serves as Control Officer in the Third Eschelon of the Air Forces Training Command teaching officer students to fly flying fortresses.
