Greg Vajdos, son of Cap Vajdos and Mrs Magdalene Urbanczyk, selected as Prince to Queen Catherine Drozd in Floresville’s 1989 Peanut Festival Court of Childhood Fantasies. He will be a senior at Floresville High School, active in honors society and band, with UIL solo participation and state-level accolades.

Floresville police report a busy weekend August 5 and 6 with burglaries at the high school and Bulk Plant office, a stabbing at the Longoria Trailer Park where Leonigildo Garcia Alonzo faced aggravated charges, a Port Aransas pickup of 17 year old Christopher Donnan linked to a collision and arson, and a $30,000 bond set for the suspect. Citizens urged to report suspicious activity.

Floresville Residents Involved In Highway 123 Collision
Emergency crews responded to a two truck crash on Highway 123 at Southridge Drive near Floresville. Ruben of San Marcos drove a 1989 Ford F-700. Richard Méderios, 43, of Floresville, was a passenger. Both were treated at Central Texas Medical Center. Lozoya, driver of the flatbed, was uninjured.
