Death Claims Little Son of H. M. Lynn and Wife
Dale Fleming Lynn aged 5 years and 11 months, son of Mr. and Mrs. H. M. Lynn of the Brinkeeter place near Floresville, died at home Friday August 2 at 3 a.m. after a Diptheria illness. He was thought improving before complications hastened death. Burial was at Floresville Cemetery at 6:30 p.m. Friday with Rev. O. B. Weathersby conducting the rites. Sentiments of sympathy are extended to the family.

Gas line crews flood Floresville as schools reopen
Floresville starts Monday September 9 as pipeline crews toil to lay two cross country gas lines through the area. Magnolia Gas Co runs two camps near the Whitsett place and north of the fair grounds with about 300 workers. Line crosses Highway 16 at Lopas Station, running from Refugio to San Antonio. Southwest Distributing Co also operates a camp near Poth, with main line about six miles east of town. Business in Floresville grows as crews arrive, making last Saturday a strong day for local merchants.

Abney Potts Sells Carload of Jerseys to Yoakum Buyer
Abney Potts of this city shipped a carload of Jersey cows last Wednesday to L W Kaiser of Yoakum. Kaiser, connected with the City Meat Market at Yoakum, bought the cattle to sell to local dairymen. The shipment included several registered animals and the rest were good grade stock. Potts has long traded in Jerseys and has shipped multiple cars from here.
