Civic Club organizes first meeting in courthouse venue
Last Friday afternoon the Civic Club held its initial gathering with Mrs W C Murray presiding as temporary chair. Four ward ladies were named to lead and commit to securing courthouse meeting permission. Dues set at one dollar, monthly meetings scheduled for the second Saturday at 4:30 p m. Ready for the Fair committee revamps exhibits and prizes
The Ready for the Fair committee reports a complete revision in guidance and added prizes across all exhibit lines. The Ladies Department will oversee exhibits with excellent care while at the fair. Cleanup and food preservation sections will be highlighted during the event.
Seale's Chapel Second to File Election Returns
In a county note the Chronicle Journal thanks precinct chairmen and their assistants for returning complete election results. Mr McGlothing of Seale's Chapel submitted the full returns in person, the second to do so after Nockenut precinct led by H Hastings. The paper praises Hastings and other chairs and anticipates full Wilson County results the night of the run off on August 28.

County Boys Travel to College Station with Franklin-Chevrolet Aid
