The Farmers Home Administration and FHA announced immediate loans from a $150 million revolving fund to drought stricken farmers and ranchers. Special Livestock and Crop Disaster loans offer 5 percent interest with up to three year repayment. Eligible producers include feed, grazing, land leases, crop inputs, equipment, fences, water, and normal operating costs. Continuous county loan committee reviews and priority to crop disaster loans were emphasized to expedite funds and seed purchases.

Interior changes include new partitions and woodwork with the upstairs converted to a meeting room for 75 to 100 people.
