County 4 H Club Girls Hold Canning And Clothing Contest Here
County 4 H Club girls staged a successful public contest at the Floresville courthouse with canning and clothing divisions. Seventeen entrants showcased canning jars and wardrobe demonstrations, earning prizes from local sponsors and CCC support. Winners included Leona Schraub and Mildred Orts in canning and slips events with praise from judges and community members.

Donaho Boy Fractures Leg In Highway Crash
W T Donaho Jr seventeen year old son of Mr and Mrs W T Donaho sustained a broken left leg and crushed ankle in a Monday morning accident on Highway 97 near Floresville while riding a bicycle. A farm wagon driven by R L Stokes and a truck loaded with brick driven by Jack Roberts collided as Roberts attempted to avoid the boy. Roberts aided him and the collision was deemed unavoidable. Donaho was taken to Oxford Archer Hospital in a plaster cast and is improving steadily.

Floresville Citizen Narrowly Escapes Serious Auto Crash
H. C. Wells, field representative for E. B. Chandler & Co. of San Antonio, escaped serious injury when his car was struck on a curve near Normanna while returning from Corpus Christi. The other vehicle, carrying a man, wife and four children, toppled into a ditch but its occupants were unhurt. Wells’ car was badly wrecked and friends praise his good luck and safe exit.

In Dallas Texas leading cotton growers form a committee to appeal to the President and Congress for an almighty price floor of 15 cents per pound. About 125 farmers plus bankers and business men discuss remedies for Texas cotton welfare while noting this year's crop near 15 million bales and current prices below 11 cents.
