Floresville Pony League champions, Wilson County League winners, were honored with a wiener roast at the Crutchfields in East Floresville. Many players and parents attended as Mrs. H. H. Haase baked a celebratory cake reading Champions of the Pony League for 1957, presented by local Little League supporters including Lions Club and Chamber of Commerce organizers.

Edward E. Reed of the Floresville ASC office reports Wilson County farmers will receive 185,179 in soil bank payments. Of this 40,515 goes to land placed in the Acreage Reserve and 68,086 covers planting cover crops. Another 90,000 is expected for soil building practices under Conservation work, totaling 275,779.00.
