Busy Texas farmers juggle hay, sorghum, and politics
July 28 notes show farmers in the county busy with haying, cotton picking, and sorghum molasses as molasses mills operate. Democratic primaries pass quietly but spark after questions. Socials host gatherings at the Barnes, King, and Magee homes. Local visits include Willis Alston from Houston and many residents from Floresville, Marcelona, and nearby towns.
