The Poth Pirate Band earned first division ratings from all judges in concert and sight reading at Madison High School, San Antonio. Poteet Strawberry Festival Adds New 50 Acre Site
The 34th annual 1981 Poteet Strawberry Festival moves to a 50 acre Highway 16 site under the new festival association. The event runs April 10 to 12 with a jam boree opening Friday, a 10,000 meter lite fun run, a grand parade led by Dallas Cowboy D. D. Lewis and family, Old Time Fiddlers contest, and a Saturday morning registration period. Music by Crosstown Connection caps the Friday night dance at the Lions Pavilion.
