Tragic Death From Desert Trek Near Tacoa
A young man about twenty three, reportedly from Texas, died of thirst and exposure ten miles east of Tacoa while walking home. A Southern Pacific track walker found him exhausted and later died under a bridge after attempting to march toward aid. Coroner's inquest held. identity and former residence could not be learned.

Aravaipa Mining Country Sees Sign of Activity
The So. Cuville Bulletin notes W J Parks visits with his family for the Fourth of July and reports a silver ore strike south of Grand Reef in Aravaipa canyon. Standish Mining Co plans to employ 25 men on copper claims west of the canyon, bonded from W C Bridwell and associates, with Col Bridwell optimistic about developing a significant mining camp. Mary Firth has long overseen Aravaipa Mining Co property duties.
