Insane Man Threatens Town in Middlefork Incident
Fred Bingaman, a Middlefork resident aged about five years, lashed out Tuesday morning threatening to kill everyone. He attempted suicide with a knife, injuring his abdomen and arm but not fatally, and threatened his elderly mother. Dr. Morrison alerted officials, and Clinton County Sheriff apprehended him in Frankfort without trouble.

Governor Durbin designates October 21 as Arbor and Bird day in Indiana with statewide exercises. School children will participate in the celebration and 15,000 copies of the arbor day annual mailed to Indiana schools by F. Cotton, superintendent of public instruction. Indiana led the nation last year in trees planted, reclaiming the top spot from Nebraska and Kansas, a record expected to continue.

Lape Faces License Battle Over Flora Saloon Plan

David Fiora, formerly of Flora now in Bloomingdale Michigan, reports heavy frost and near harvest in his letter to the Enterprise Sentinel. He notes crops look good with corn near cut, and ducks seen on the lake. A large revival at Conservative Brethren church ended last Sunday with 39 accessions led by Elder J. W. Town Board Considers Elm Street Cement Walk Plan

Mrs Frances Hunt wife of Marion Hunt died at her home in Brighurst on Thursday of last week from tuberculosis. She was fifty years old and highly regarded with many friends. Funeral services were held Saturday with interment at Moss cemetery.
