Village restricts trespass of fowls and rabbits ordinance
The village board enacted ordinance 45 listing chickens ducks turkeys geese and rabbits as forbidden within village limits from March to November each year. The Record published the measure last week. Violations carry fines from one to twenty five dollars to curb roaming fowls and rabbits disturbing gardens and new lawns.
Maroa Wins High Honors at District Contest
Maroa students won five of eight prizes at a district school contest held at Filer grade school. Contestants represented Maron, Merry, Rimwood, Pleasant View, Poplar Hill, Washington, Cedar Draw and Filer. Winners advance to the county contest in Twin Falls on April 25. Judges were Mrs. KR. 8. Armes, Mrs. W. D. Gillis, and Mrs. Juneau Shion.

Easter Cantata at M. E. Church Scores Success

Maron Community Sees Variety of Farm Talks and Contests
The Maron community hosts a series of farm lectures at the rural school. Last week covered flies, this week highlights weeds with about 60 color slides. With Keystone lanterns, eight foot pictures will showcase topics to farmers. Idaho views will depict Yellow parts of the state. The Maron Sewing club, largest rural school women’s group, finishes another year of work with strong showings in contests. District contest at Filer featured several winners and runners up in arithmetic, grammar, geography. Plans are under way for a county route meet at Twin Falls on April 25, with Mrs Drake of Denver speaking on Home Community and State.
