American Legion Flag Presentation Sunday
The public presentation of the national and American Legion colors will be Sunday at 10:30 am in the bandstand at Main street and Yaklum avenue. Knights Templar and Filer Lodge No. 35 will present flags, with Legion members in uniform. A joint Legion and Masonic committee arranged the event, with J. Weaver credited for initiating the move and Hal G. Blue likely to lead. The flags, two silk emblems on gold staffs, are on display at C. A. Love mercantile store awaiting the ceremony.

Cavalry Troop Planned For This County Formation

Yellowstone Park to Mecca of Many
Travel to Yellowstone National Park this season is expected to be heavy with special trains to the Shriner convention in Portland the National Educational convention in Salt Lake and the Democratic convention in San Francisco making stops at the park on route. Government and commissary workers have prepared roads and trails and tourist facilities will meet midsummer standards. Special provisions exist for automobile camping parties independent of transport and camp companies, with ample accommodations available at all times.

School bonds Will Be Sold at Par

Duerig Elected Commander Of Filer Legion
Wynn Duerig won the Filer post command of the American Legion at a city hall meeting. He succeeds George Reynolds, post commander since the group formed last autumn. Duerig, an engineer with the Fil highway district resident for about a year, served in the army overseas and was previously a Montana school principal. Other officers elected include Ernest Winskle vice commander Juneau Shinn adjutant finance officer Karl Munyon historian. The group will form an executive committee with several members to be selected. The new officers serve until January 1 1921, with thanks given to Reynolds. An effort will be made to enlist more veterans. An automobile accident near Rock Creek Bridge injured Mrs Mackay and child, but all escaped serious harm. The Mackays, from Pier stockmat, were taken to the hospital. Mr MacKay and the child had minor scrapes while Mrs Mackay is expected to recover home after rest. Mr Mackay is a farmer and sheep herder on the Boake river north of Vier.

Effort to Change Route for North and South Highway
Twin Falls county officials and the state highway commission are seeking to reroute the North and South highway. The proposed path would move the main line away from Rogerson toward a route through Twin Falls and east of Filer, then south into Nevada and toward Han Francisco, claiming a shorter, more direct connection between California and Yellowstone. War Orphans Help Still Evoke American Aid
