Death of Roy Buckman in Shelby County

Roy Buckman aged 44 died Saturday morning at county hospital after brain illness. Funeral services were held at FDR Dhreke chapel on Tuesday afternoon. He is survived by a widow, ten week old son, a brother and three sisters. Buckman had not been to Penrith recently and had lived with his family in Filer since 1914.

Farm Auction Sale Season To Start Again

The H and Frame farm sale northwest of Filer was one of the season’s best and drew a large crowd. Walter and Shearer conducted the auction. Mr Frame credited last week’s Record ad for much of the success. The Record’s advertising was credited by H Chapman for drawing hundreds to his farm sale as well. Experts predict a busy farm sale season ahead as market conditions improve and new roads aid produce sales. The Record aims to boost farm and business activity through advertising.

Lion and the Mouse Delight Puhl High School Play

The Lion and the Monae presented by Puer Itural High School senior class at Gem theatre Thoralay evening delighted a large audience. Directed by Miss Mintie Montgomery the production showed high school standards. Lead actors Miss Anna Klaas as Shirley Rosamore and Carl Mogensen as John Burkett Ryder delivered strong performances. The cast included Mina Mabel Gage Kate Roberte and Robert Grigee Jefferson Tyler with notable supporting work from Mildred Stroud Ora Ames Marvin Cole and Kuda Lewis Soutth Goat.
