Filer's high school team, coached by Denman, defeated Twin Falls 27 to 19 in the inaugural game at the newly opened gym. Murray led scoring with 15 points, Blackburn added 10 as Filer overturned Twin Falls’ early lead amid a rousing crowd of about 200 spectators.

Brother of James Sober Dies in Missouri Mine Accident

The death of a brother, James Sober, was reported in Kirksville Missouri. Delayed by an accident in a coal mine on January 11, a rock fall broke his neck. The late Mr and Mrs B C McNeil of Twin Falls adopted the elder Sober. Survives include the father of the deceased.

Debates At Rural tige High Friday Eve
