The Victory School annual program is presented at the Gem Theatre with matinee at 3 30 and evening show at 8. The first through fourth graders direct The Live Doll and Santa Claus in Mother Goose Land. Cast includes Elves Jack Stephens Eddie Musgrave Wayne Hunter and others with Kenneth Reid as Little Boy and Wanda Otto as Little Girl.

Third Robbery Strikes Local Stores In Two Months
In the early Tuesday morning raid unknown thieves entered C. A. Love’s shop breaking a plate glass door and stole shoes corduroy pants mackinaws and other items. The cash register yielded several dollars in pennies nickels and dimes. Two similar daytime break ins occurred in October and November at Beem and Hammerquist and A T Craig. Rogerson billiard room 26 miles south was robbed by two masked men after 1 to 2 a m stealing about 400 dollars.

The Leg ion auxiliary held its monthly meeting at Mrs. G. E. Henman's home on Monday afternoon. Members prepared Christmas boxes for incapacitated World War I veterans, selecting recipients at Filer who were injured or disabled during the war and are now pursuing vocational training at colleges and universities.

B F P Philby resigned as town peace officer of Filer precinct and the county commissioners accepted the resignation but took no action on filling the vacancy. Philby is visiting 9 Neb ranks. Ruth Bever, daughter of Mr and Mrs J P Bever west of here, was elected by the Rural high school board as the new instructor seat following Mary Pringle’s resignation. Classes resume December 31 after Christmas vacation. Stores in Filer will stay open evenings till Christmas for holiday shoppers. Public to supply gifts and food in three days before Christmas. Local undertakers move to new headquarters in the former Craig’s store on Main street. Dramas and radio broadcasts from major cities noted.

Mescler Improves After Auto Accident in Hollywood
Mrs TC MT, previously recorded with serious injuries from a Hollywood California accident, has regained consciousness at times and indications point to recovery. The crash left her with a fractured skull and sheriff suffered a broken arm along with other injuries. Her son Wylie, of Portello, is in Hollywood.

Man Repays Stolen Candy Four Years Later
An individual from another part of the state writes to Earl Munyon and his brother Ora, ex-owners of Filet Grocery, enclosing 24 cents and a note asking forgiveness. He says he stole candy from a Miller store years ago and will repay 26 cents to cover the loss, promising to divide the amount with his brother.

Another Killed in Auto Accident Near Pocatello
Ruth Herrington of Maroa district died when the car she rode in with C Bates overturned twice between American Falls and Pocatello. Coroner P O Sheer presided at the inquest with prosecutor St. Anderson. Bates faced negligent driving charges. Witnesses said speeding over forty miles per hour and a dispute over the left fork led to the crash.
