Rain improves the atmosphere over the week with moderate weather. Wheat yields reach 50 60 and up to seven bushels per acre. Barley yields high. County Fair Parking Rules Endorsed By Village Board
At a special meeting last Friday the village board authorized Lt. TL Ab Jen to cooperate with County Fair Secretary J M Market on emergency auto parking regulations and on supervising concessions along the main street during the county fair from September 11 to 14. Market proposes keeping streets leading to the fair grounds a block clear of parked cars to ease traffic after each day's program.

Road accidents multiply when pavement is wet
A series of accidents last week on wet pavement and with headlights failing injured several locals and damaged property.
