Kunkler Vogl Nuptials In St Henry Church

Miss Augusta Kunkler and Mr Alain Vogl wed at St Henry church Monday morning at 7 30. Relatives served breakfast and dinner at the bride’s home before a Chicago trip returning Wednesday. A dance in Barth’s hall followed. They plan to reside here as Vogl opens a merchant tailoring shop in the Mehling house.

Catherine Steltenpohl Weds Hubert Uebelhor in Louisville

Miss Catherine Steltenpohl of Louisville and Hubert Uebelhor of Huntingburg were married in Louisville Tuesday morning of last week. The groom is the second son of Mrs. Isidore Kiveh of Huntingburg, and the bride is the youngest daughter of Mrs. Steltenpohl, both former Ferdinand residents.

Cream Station Opens for C W Jean Co Worthington Ind

Farmers invited to bring cream for top prices at a new cream station run by Reckulhoff and Muller. The facility will operate starting Oct 3 and then every Tuesday and Friday thereafter, serving Worthington Indiana and surrounding farmers.

Marriage licenses issued include Jos M Schum and Catherine Gerber of Jasper, L M Miller of Chicago to Fiora Traylor of Jasper, Wm Seger to Apolonie Pieper of Celestine, Edward Merkel to Mayme Pieper of Celestine, W F Herman of Jasper to Freida Beloat of Princeton, and John Thorn of Knox County to Eva Taylor of Kyana. A temporary bridge across the ditch in Short Creek bottoms was finished and trains ran over it yesterday, with a more substantial bridge planned soon. A note advertises a good farm.

Shoplifter Catching Affects Local Store

A woman and her daughter were found shoplifting at Henry Beckmann and Sons. Ed Beckmann recovered three pairs of shoes and a blue coat, valued at 14 dollars, from a buggy. The pair's husband brokered a compromise with the merchants. no charges were pressed.

John Schwarte Dies in Rockport of TB at Age do

John Schwarte, well known locally, died in Rockport Monday morning at age do, from tuberculosis. He formerly lived in Mariah HA and had resided in Rockport in recent years. He leaves a ten year old son. his wife predeceased him about two years. The remains were brought to Ma cia Hit and burial occurred Wednesday morning.

Mrs. John Arnold Dies After Lingering Illness

Mrs. John Arnold nee Mary Demuth died at Mariah Hill Wednesday morning after a long illness. She was 61 and survived by one son and two daughters. A pioneer of the locality, she was well known to older residents. Interment was held at Mariah Hill yesterday morning.

Obituary Notice Mrs Mary Lindauer of St Henry

Mrs Mary Lindauer died at St Henry Sunday evening after a short illness from infirmities of old age. Born in France she came to the United States as a child and lived in the St Henry area for nearly 50 years. She was 80 years 10 months and 6 days old leaving a son Henry and four daughters. two brothers also survive. Interment was in St Henry cemetery Tuesday morning. Neighbors attended a gathering at Perdinand Demuth’s home Monday night with cake and beer served.
