Murder Charge Shocks Pulaski County in Pearl Hettinger Case
Leslie Steffy, 35, formerly of Fulton County, is jailed in Pulaski on a murder count in the death of 18 year old Pearl Hettinger last November. A grand jury last week altered the verdict from accident to murder prompting wide comment. Steffy claimed the shooting occurred as Pearl aided his illness and denied any wrongdoing.
