Weddings in St Ferdinand church and area nuptials

Over the past week several marriages are recorded. Ferdinand Olinger wed Rose Demuth at St Ferdinand church with a breakfast reception at the bride’s home. Emma Seufert married Cyril Bohner at St Ferdinand church with a morning ceremony and reception, then travels to French Lick before settling in Jasper. Mary Jochim and Frank Epple were married Sept 26 in Mariah Hill's church and will live near New Boston. Esther Huebschman and Joseph Fetter wed at Evansville Assumption church with a large reception and plan to establish a home in Evansville.

Leisman Hochgesang Wed At St Anthony Church

Joseph Leisman and Mary Hochgesang were married at St. Anthony's church with Rev. Clement Kilngel officiating. Attendants were Mrs. Frank Schnick and Mrs. Frank Buechler. The writer and friends wish the couple a long happy life. Keep posted Read the NEWS.

State Teachers' Association Meeting Set in Indianapolis

The State Teachers Association will meet in Indianapolis October 19 to 21. County Superintendent tickets cost 1.00 each and include a railroad coupon for a 1.3 fare round trip. Dubois County teachers may attend Evansville or Indianapolis events with notice by October 17. Marian Cox of Jasper schools to attend Riley Memorial ceremonies in Indianapolis.

Postal Employes Enjoy Farm Picnic Near Ferdinand

A gathering of about 18 cars and 75 postal workers and families spent a Sunday at John Laake's farm near Ferdinand. A grove, tasty feed, and various entertainments including vaudeville stunts and a baseball game filled the day, ending around 5:30 PM. Otto H. Kreutzberger and Karl Dreisch of Evansville spoke during a touring campaign for 1922 democracy, with Dreisch noting a blocked schoolhouse audience in Maxville and posters that called Kreutzberger Adoph Kruzberger.
