A further batch of Dubois county soldiers departed for Camp Taylor on Thursday morning October 4. They formed 209 of the quota and reported for duty by five oclock the previous day. A reception and entertainment preceded the march to the depot the next morning as friends bid farewell. Dubois County Commissioners Hold Regular Meeting
The Dubois County Commissioners met in regular session last Monday. Quarterly fee reports from Auditor, Clerk, Sheriff and Recorder were read and accepted. Liquor licenses granted to Kunkel, Leng, Blessinger and a transfer to Uebelhoer. Bridge reports and two bids for a Ferdinand and St Meinrad road bridge awarded to Ben Seufert. Road petitions reviewed with viewers appointed. Further rock road reports in Bainbridge and Columbia townships continued or accepted.

The Board of Trustees of Ferdinand Indiana approved the Missouri street improvement assessment on October 2 1917 and fix a remonstrance hearing for October 10 1917 at 8 PM at the public school.
