Shooting Rampage in Dubois Ends in Deaths and Wounds
Evansville Courier reports a street shooting in Dubois Indiana on Thursday night. Roscoe Rhodes and Oliver Bledsoe fired into a crowd after an argument near a saloon, killing Isaac Hardin and wounding Pinnick and Kemp. Rhodes and Bledsoe fled, later bond set at 1000 dollars. authorities hunt them as murder suspects. Hardin dies tonight. Pinnick and Kemp injured with varying severity. Rhodes and Bledsoe are connected to local figures. incident follows a confrontation defending Pinnick. The Teachers Statute meet at Lueken school house drew several attendees.

Fourteen-year-old Wirtzberger dies from appendicitis
Jacob William Wirtzberger, 15 years 6 months 3 days old, died Sunday from inflammation caused by appendicitis after vomiting began Wednesday. He was the oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. Leo Wirtzberger. Interment was Tuesday at St. Ferdinand cemetery. The NEWS extends sympathy to the family.

Registration Talk Emphasizes Voting Rights Under New Law

Explosion on Farm Near Siberia Injures Three Men
On John Bombolaski’s farm near Siberia an explosion in a boiler furnace badly burned Ed and John Ernst and Ben Elmer as a traction engine and clover huller burned. Ed Ernst died at 11 30 yesterday morning. The blast damaged the engine and burned the men even as fuel ran low and a box believed to contain nitroglycerine ignited the furnace.
