George Bettag and Miss Minnie Wirteberger were married at Mariah Hill on Tuesday. The couple are well known in Ferdinand and local congratulations are extended.
The undersigned will hold a public sale of household goods at her former residence east of the flouring mill on October 8th. Sale to commence at 1 p.m. Mrs. GEORGE HUTHER.
I thank my Ayorerous and friends who assisted me when the accident occurred that disabled me for a few weeks and those who cared for me and called on me while in Ferdinand. George Biscuor.

Misa Ludwina Weerter of St Meinrad and Rheinhold Sturm of 8&1 Meinrad wed at St Ferdinand church Monday at 6 am. Attendants were Leo Werter and Frank Sturm. They honeymooned to Louisville via Huntingburg. A public dance followed at Enust hall. They will reside in St Meinrad.
John Ballia and Miss Leoba Tretter were married at St Meinrad Monday morning at five o clock. The bride is the daughter of Luther Tretter and has many friends in the city who wish them success. They were in company with Mr and Mrs Sturm who were married here the same morning on their trips to Louisville. A free wedding dance was held at Koast's hall last night.
In the August vote, 166 ballots cast with about 180 Democratic votes total after 15 abstentions. The marshal race decided for Weoerter by 12 over Stallmann and 31 over Drach, while Gerber and Havlik tied for treasurer before Havlik withdrew. Benedict Seufert led among trustees, though all trustees needed only one vote.

Miss Carrie Collignon returned Saturday from relatives in Owenaboro. Harrison Township teachers held their institute Thursday September 30. August Haller left Rock Ark for saw-mill work and reported South success. A grand ball occurred at Schneider’s grove with Fulda String Band music. Rev. Joseph Villinger and Rev. James Pfeiffer visited relatives here last week. Miss Wolf of Tell City visited relatives. An earthquake was felt with a continuous shake lasting about a minute.
