A string of brief hometown notices lists residents and visitors. Joe Lanetet Adgeville and Mrs. Mathias Olinger traveled nearby, while others including William Baase, Richard Gehrhageen, Nellie Brommie, and Alice Senninger were in or out of Louisville, Huntingburg, St Meinrad, and nearby towns on various days.
The youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Mathias Olinger wed Jos M Petry of Brooklyn New York in a Thursday morning ceremony officiated by Rev Father Eberhard. The couple plan a tour of eastern cities before settling in Toronto where the groom runs a major printing ink factory. The bride was welcomed by many friends as they begin their life together.
At St Ferdinand church on Monday at six in the morning Miss Ludwina Roos married Robert Eckstein. Irma Eckstein was bridesmaid and Victor Roos was groomsman. They left for Shelbyville Kentucky after the ceremony and will reside in Jasper before moving to Ferdinand.
Anna Kerstien entertained many friends at her home about three miles from town on Sunday. Guests included Henry, Ferdie, Regina and Thresia Weyer, Leonard and Tillie Schipp, Ben, Joe, Frank and Frances Weaver, Tillie and Lizzie Linden Schmidt, Edwin Horry, Henry, Herman and George Kerstien, Albert Leuberhausen and Pete Fleck from St. Henry Ind.

Shop advertises four in hand shield tecks bat wings and bows ties. Aid Society Band fundraiser adds 39.00 for new uniforms. Ferdinand Social Club hosted by Mr and Mrs J A Sondermann with four new members initiated. Herman Witte hosted a frolic at his new house near Hoing station with relatives and workers.
Mrs Lena Krapf and Frank Roos married at St Ferdinand church at 6 am. Attendants were Frank Senninger and Mrs Gustav Werter. Bride a widow and saloon dispenser. Roos a widower and brick mason. They left for Evanaville on their wedding trip.
Bank statement from Ferdinand Indiana shows assets including loans and discounts U S bonds and other securities. The document lists reserves notes and coins while detailing legal tender notes and redemption funds as of November 1 1000 with totals to liabilities.
A letter dated November 19, 1909 from Joby to the editor thanks the community for support of the Ferdinand News and outlines the Louisville Industrial School’s operations. It notes 48 and 47 pupils at Dist 3 and 4, 15 teachers, 35 shop instructors, and a 26 boy band, praising the consolidated school plan and staff dedication.
