Mr and Mrs Anton Heilers marked fifty years of marriage with a Monday mass and a family gathering at their son John s Ferdinan township home. Seventeen children grandchildren and one great grandchild joined the couple. one daughter Catherine Schum could not attend due to illness. Heilers now 75 and active. Mary Bickwermert Heilers, 70, participated though not in best health. they raised six children and have 39 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Remains of George Hedinger Buried Here
The remains of George Hedinger who died at his home near Duff were brought to Fred Hoffmann’s home and interred at St. Ferdinan Cemetery. Hedinger, 46, died after a brief illness following a public sale of livestock and farming machinery. He is survived by a widow, eight children, a brother John of St. Anthony, and three sisters.
