First Common School Exam Held In March With Restrictions
The first Common School Examination of the year is set for Saturday March 16th pupils in the seventh grade excluded from eligibility and teachers urged not to push weak pupils. Graduation standards rise across schools and grade schools must meet higher demands. Also on Saturday March 8th the local spelling contest offers prizes in many townships and voters will be polled per six year enumeration law.
