Good Man Bolte Called Home After Long Life
Last Sunday evening Ben Bolte aged 72 years 1 month and 18 days was called to his eternal home. He born near Ferdinand farmed and married, moved to town to run a saw mill and heading business until three years ago when he retired turning the business to his sons. He suffered illness December 8 and died after a week in bed. He was known as a Christian man of upright character with wide local ties from threshing work spanning thirty years. He leaves children Herman Henry Gerhard Joe Minnie and Mia Joe Schum Jr Mrs John Epple and sisters Mia Minnie Johnson Mrs Katie Manaman Mrs Mary Huelekamp. Interment was Wednesday after a requiem mass at 7:30. R I P.

Born August 25 1868 at Mariah Hill Sod, she joined the Convent of the Immaculate Conception in Ferdinand Indiana at seventeen and taught at Floyd Knobs Celestine and Schnellville. Requiem and funeral mass were held February 25 at 8:00 AM with Office recited at 7:00 AM. May God rest her soul.
