Elizabeth Hasenour aged 65 wife of H C Hasenour county commissioner of Dubois County died May 28 at 1 30 am at St Anthony s hospital Louisville after a brief illness She was born January 5 1855 in Louisville and moved with her family to Celestine later living in St Anthony She is survived by her husband three sons George W William J and Albert J and five daughters Mrs William Bales Mrs Basil Hochgesang Maggie C Selma C and Ludwina M Hasenour Funeral services were held at St Anthony s church and interment followed in St Anthony s cemetery Rev Clement Klinger officiating

The deluge washed out corn, damaged fruit trees, and sparked lightning and thunder as the storm lingered for hours. Huntingburg and Ferdinand saw rain with central heavy downpour. Farmers fear poor acorn crop and delayed planting amid ongoing daily rain.

Knecht, famed Evansville Courier cartoonist, for an afternoon matinee at 2 PM in the parochial school hall and an evening show at 7 PM in Senninger's Lion Garden.
