The Oakland City Walkovers beat the Ferdinand Greys in a high scoring Sunday game. After a 4-4 tie through nine innings the Walkovers exploded for four runs in the tenth, making ten. Reckelhoff started for the Greys and lasted until the tenth as the Walkovers pulled away with clutch hits and miscues.

Mrs. Mary Eicher nee Dinke died at her daughter Mrs Henry Heeker's home Dubois July 10 1913 aged 69. She had lived in Celastine until March then bedfast from illness. Survived by two brothers in Indianapolis and Dubois three sons and two daughters. Remains laid to rest in St Raphael's cemetery after requiem Mass performed by Rev Father Paul.
