Fight at St. Anthony Last Night Leaves Deputy Injured

Jasper Indiana July 3 Deputy John Kuebler lies in a serious condition with a dislocated shoulder and multiple cuts after a brawl at John Sternberg's saloon during a dance. Four Snyder and Miller youths beat him as they tried to arrest a disorderly Miller boy. Kuebler is under medical care. court action expected.

Rock Road Extension and Local Court Actions

Dr Lawrence Miller faces trial in Pike circuit court for the death of Lena Krese on April 28. County commissioners approved a rock road extension contract in Patoka township to Mr Eigemann of Rockport. Rock road bonds in Bainbridge and Patoka were sold to Meyer Kaiser Bank of Indianapolis at par plus accrued interest. Dr Gobble of Birdseye was arrested for assault with intent to kill Louis Kellame, released on a $1000 bond after preliminary examination, with October term set.
