J. H. Beckmann fell from bed in the Imperial Hotel Evansville between 4 and 5 am last Monday. His head hit a closet molding, slicing his left ear almost in half and requiring four stitches to reattach it. Despite injuries he is described as hale and hardy at 78 years old.

Linde and Hartz Couple Wed at St Pauls Tell City
Edwin Lindater and Martha Hartz were married at St. Pauls church Tell City with Martina Bousler and Irene Lindauer as bridesmaids and Claude Lindauer Edward Hartz as a groom’s party. A breakfast reception followed and a rice shower greeted the newlyweds on return to Ferdinand. A free wedding dance at Senninger's hall and a charivari completed the celebration.

Veteran Henry Kraft Dies in Jasper Indiana
Henry Kraft aged 71 and brother of ex marshal Joseph Kraft died at his home in northern Jasper Monday night. Born in Germany he came to America at age six landing in New Orleans before settling in this county. He served in the Civil War with the 43rd Indiana Volunteers. He leaves a wife, four sons and four daughters. Interment Friday morning.

After twelve years of ailment, Mrs. Wm. D. Metzger nee Carolina Wagner died last Friday at 7:40 AM. Born in Fulds she moved with her parents in infancy and died at age 80 years 1 month 18 days. Survived by husband, a son Dr E E Metzger, a brother Wagner of Louisville, six sisters Mrs Stork Linder Glazier Schroering Hoffmann of this place and Louisville. burial Monday at eight o'clock in the local cemetery after a brief service. The bereaved extend thanks for sympathies.

Mrs Mary Hoge nee Mary Hi ming died at her sister’s home north of town after a three weeks illness of dropsy. She was 50 years 4 months and 5 days old. Her husband preceded her in death. One sister Mrs Knust remains. Interment was Monday morning at seven in Ferdinand cemetery.
