Veteran Demuth Dies After Louisville Accident
Michael Demuth of St Anthony died after being struck by a car while visiting a son in Louisville. The Civil War veteran, age 77, received military honors at his funeral in St Anthony after a Tuesday burial. He is survived by four sons Robert Ed Joe Theodore a daughter Minnie a brother Ferdinand and a sister Mrs Simon Daunhauer.

Frank Mehling Dies at 62 After Illness
Frank Mehling a bachelor of the Ferdinand St Meinrad road died Wednesday morning at eleven welock cause of death overheating. He was 62 years three months and forty days old. Survived by two sisters Mrs Charles Ross Louisville and Mrs Vowel St Meinrad. Brother Mike preceded him in death two months ago. Burial held in St Ferdinand cemetery this morning at seven o clock.

Former Brewer William Halle Dies in Johnsburg Neighborhood
William Halle died Tuesday at his brother Mike’s home near Johnsburg at three a.m. He was 52 years 10 months and 7 days. Burial followed in St. Ferdinand cemetery after requiem mass. He leaves one daughter Jhilda and four brothers Joe Dale Mike Nick St Henry and John. Halle gained local fame for twenty years brewing the Celebrated Common at the local brewery.

A Sunday accident on Monte Casino hill left eight occupants of a Pell City and Troy bound truck injured when a wheel failed and the vehicle overturned.
